Below are a number of important policy statements from CTAL :
Cookies: New EU law regarding cookies came into force on May 26th 2012 and requires consent by web site visitors for cookies that record their details. Certain cookies that are deemed essential are exempt from this law. CTAL only uses essential cookies, for session visits. CTAL do not collect any personal information or location statistics and these cookies expire. A cookie, also known as an HTTP cookie, web cookie, or browser cookie, is a piece of data stored by a website within your browser, and then subsequently sends back to the same website information regarding pages visited.
Cookies are kept in a folder on a local machine and can be removed using the "Internet options" under the "tools" menu on most browsers. We respect the privacy rights of visitors to our website.
Content: Whilst every effort is made to ensure the accuracy of the information published on our website, CTAL does not acccept any responsibility for unintentional errors. All content of this website remains the property of CTAL and cannot be downloaded for republishing or retransmission without prior written permission.
Internal Systems CTAL needs to hold names and addresses (including telephone numbers and email addresses) of those who are connected with us or with our various projects. These records may be kept on our computers or storage devices, or manually on paper in filing systems. In some circumstances we are required by law to maintain these records.
All such information is kept with care, so that it can only be accessed by authorised staff or others (eg auditors) working on our behalf. The law gives you the right to see data we hold about you, on request, with appropriate notice and on payment of a small fee. Only such information as is necessary is retained, and information no longer needed is destroyed. Care is taken when discarding information, to ensure that it cannot be retrieved by anyone else.
CTAL does not sell, rent, lease or exchange any information to any other agencies. All information supplied will be for the sole use of CTAL. Enquiries or complaints in this area should be made to the Administrator.
